Get inpired by the canadian artist Trina Doerr and allow yourself to push the limits of the materials and create original and autentical artworks

 

  • Kickstart your creativity in this intensive course of 20 hours divided into 5 sessions of 4 hours each;
  • In this five day course we will discuss methods to help kickstart your creativity and move towards developing your own personal style in clay. We will focus on embracing your imagination and translating it into your work.
  • Know that you have the possibility to buy a membership in our studio during the development of the course. This way you can work more in depth the tecniques teached at the classes.

Participants will be gently guided towards making signature pieces of transformative art. You will be encouraged to embrace your own processes, develop new ways to implement and strengthen your style while solving problems and technically strengthening your skill set.

 

Know that you have the possibility to buy a membership in our studio during the development of the course. This way you can work more in depth the tecniques teached at the classes.

How are we going to work:

  • Day One: Introduction, discussion of goals and developing ideas. Make small pinch pot vessels and three-dimensional slab shapes. These will be used to make small maquettes of the proposer sculpture.
  • Day Two: Start the process of hand building the rudimentary forms that will be used in the sculpture.
  • Day Three: Continue developing the forms and start the general assembly of the sculpture.
  • Day Four: Assemble and refine the sculpture
  • Day Five:. Apply textures, underglazes, slips and oxides. Finish sculpture.

Note that:

  • Previous experience with ceramics is recommended even though not a must
  • Classes are formed with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people to ensure a personalized treatment.
  • We provide you with all the materials that your creative process may need.
