Ceramics for me is a practice, not just the practice of the craft and technique but also of patience, focus, letting go of expectations. Through the practice I explore histories, geographies and biologies; referencing shapes, patterns, colours and curvatures from different eras and cultures.
I’m inspired by conversations with the community in the studio – the tender and tentative exchanges of the disciples of clay.
My pieces are thrown on the wheel and later curved into functional objects. Normally I start with a general idea and then Iet the clay tell me what it wants to be in my hands – a bowl, a vase… an artichoke.
Actually I discovered ceramics alongside sipping cava, for this reason I associate it with joy and free expression!
My name is Kelsey Vo Bailey and I am a ceramicist from Los Angeles, living in Barcelona.
I strive to create clean, minimalistic pieces that still bear my finger smudges or a shallow dimple. Something subtle that shows the uniqueness of the pieces when you pick it up and turn it in your hands.
My current work is full of candlestick holders that can delicately balance in the center of your dinner table spread, or fill a nook on your bookshelf.
What first attracted me to ceramics is how versatile it is. You can make everything from toilets to life-like sculptures to simple functional mugs. I get into this meditative state when working with clay, and I love to combine sculpturing with geometrical pieces made on the wheel.
Most importantly my work is about having fun with it, and that shines through most of my work. I tend to make quirky cups with ears as handles, fingers or even noses. However, at the same time my work does have a Nordic twist to it, with straight lines sometimes and above all they are functional pieces.

Life is not smooth, which makes it life. We all have lumps and scratches. So do my products.
Hi. Ceren here.
I make all ceramics by hand, using damn prehistoric methods.
I have founded Ren Ceramica to touch lives. You will understand what I mean when you touch a Ren product: They are natural, lumpy, have imperfections.
We all connect through our imperfections, which is perfect.
Hi, I’m Vittorio D’Uva, one of the artists of 137 ° Ceramic Art Studio.
My pieces are made totally by hand using stoneware or porcelain.
I have always been working with modeling pastes and finally three years ago I took the step in the world of ceramics. In my work with ceramics there are influences from my Neapolitan roots, my studies as an architect and above all my dreaming soul.
I am currently focusing my attention on creating sculptures in the shape of clouds.
Light clouds, with soft shapes, to hang or have them resting on the ground.
Clouds to remind us how important it is to dream. I hope one of my clouds can enter your home soon.
“There is a deep connection between the hands of the artist and the buyer. The hands that model the raw earth will come into contact with a new place through the sculpture. In this way the soul that inhabits the sculpture will know the soul of the home in which she will find a new place. ” Vittorio D’Uva
