What is the 137\u00ba Studio?<\/h2>\n

A studio dedicated to ceramic art in Baix Montseny, Barcelona.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

In addition to the ceramic art classes we have scheduled, another important focus at 137\u00ba Ceramic Art Studio is the organization of customized events for private groups in order to offer all participants an enchanting experience and to introduce them to the values of the ceramics and its processes.<\/p>\n

How was the 137\u00ba Ceramic Art Studio born?<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”small” position=”center” transparency=”1″ thickness=”2″ up=”20″ down=”20″ width=”30″][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]In June 2015 Dalia Sofronie and Manuel Est\u00e9vez, both ceramists and couple in real life, joined our knowledge and resources to give life to the project dedicated to ceramic art that we call 137\u00ba Ceramic Art Studio.<\/p>\n

For this we have originally settled in a premises in Poblenou, where we have shared for 8 years workspaces, workshops, knowledge and experiences with artists and ceramics enthusiasts from more than 10 nationalities.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]In the summer of 2023, with some nostalgia but at the same time with joy and enthusiasm to see our project grow, we parted from the neighborhood that saw its beginnings to move to the residential studio we have in the charming area of the natural park of Baix Montseny.<\/p>\n

Why the name 137\u00ba?<\/h2>\n

Beauty is in the order and harmony of our universe. It\u2019s the irrational law that rules over us, from our DNA to our thoughts.<\/b><\/h4>\n

When we are born, this sense of beauty is born with us too.<\/b><\/h4>\n

Struggling to find the logic of beauty, ancient thinkers tried to explain it mathematically, and that\u2019s how they discovered the existence of a ratio, which they called Golden.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

137\u00ba is the<\/b> golden angle<\/b><\/a>, discovered by Fibonacci, and we can recognize it in many of nature\u2019s geometries, such as: the provision of sunflower seeds, or in the leaves of each stem, the flowers\u2019 petals, the branches of a tree, etc.<\/p>\n
