Plaster Molds Making

Plaster Molds Making: 20-hour workshop

  • The plaster molds making course contemplates the plaster as a very important tool in the work of every ceramist. You will be taught how to choose the plaster and how to prepare it according to the needs of your project. You will create a multiple part mold.
  • You will learn how to make the best use of your molds and how to prepare and use the casting slips.

This plaster molds making workshop is very useful to develop your work as a ceramicist. You will be surprised by the infinite possibilities that the use of plaster adds to your projects.

You can use a found object or create one yourself as the basis for your plaster mold. If you want to create the prototype yourself you can do so during our pottery wheel, sculpture, or handbuilding courses. These courses can be combined with the mold-making process to enhance your learning experience.
