Dalia Sofronie (Târgu-Mureș, 1979) lives and works in Baix Montseny, Barcelona. Her sculptural practice in ceramics explores rhythm, tension, and balance in form.

Trained in Decorative Arts and Advertising Design, her career as an Art Director solidified a conceptual and structural approach to visual language.

Since 2009, she has worked exclusively with high-fire stoneware and porcelain, developing works that investigate the relationship between matter, space, and contained energy.

Her work does not represent nature: it assimilates it as an internal system of growth, pulse, and transformation.

Under the same skin / Sculptural series

You and I make three: you, me, and the space in between.

Under the same skin is a sculptural investigation into the relationship between two presences coexisting within the same symbolic space. The series explores the tension between limit and continuity, between individual identity and shared belonging.

Through continuous lines and optical illusions, the void is activated as a structural element. The space in between ceases to be an absence and becomes an invisible substance: a third presence constructed by the gaze.

Pulsation  / Sculptural series

‘’The path is not a straight line; it is a spiral. You keep coming back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths.”

Barry H. Gillespie

Standalone works

Unique pieces born from the free exploration of form, matter, and the ceramic surface.

Standalone works that develop their own language: individual exercises outside of a specific series.
