Raku Workshop

Discover Raku, a Japanese ceramic technique that unites fire, chance, and transformation. In just a few hours, you will experience the entire process and create unique pieces—even if it is your first time.

This workshop includes an outdoor firing session (approx. 4 hours) with the option of prior preparation session. No experience is required. Available for both groups and individuals (inquire for details).

What you will do

  • Create your own pieces (hand-building or wheel-throwing)
  • Prepare them with terra sigillata, glazes, or slip for naked Raku
  • Participate in the Raku firing, extracting the incandescent pieces from the kiln
  • Discover unique crackle effects, metallic finishes, and iridescence
  • Join the firing session only if you already have your own prepared pieces

The course is confirmed once a minimum group of three people is formed.
